Today let’s continue our new series thru the book of 1 Timothy. Here the beloved Apostle Paul shares with this younger pastor things vital to all of us. Today we will see that Paul chases a rabbit trail as he gets off topic – in the best possible ways! Paul gets sidetracked by the overwhelming grace of God. Let’s get distracted with him as we are amazed at Christ Jesus – Savior of Sinners.

Prayer Requests:

Prayer requests are eventually rotated off to keep them current.  To update names, simply request them to be resubmitted.  Also, prayer requests can be added to the church’s private group Facebook page or contact the church office at admin@communitygrace.online. 

We are currently sending out prayer requests by email.  If you or anyone you know is not receiving these, please let me know.  I have found that some of the emails we have on record are not correct.

Kidland Nursery

Is your little one having a hard morning?  Come utilize a fun, peaceful atmosphere, private nursing/napping room, changing station, and qualified volunteers ready to help ease the Sunday morning stress!  We welcome your children under two years old on Sunday mornings during the worship service starting at 10:30am.  The nursery is located to the right of the stairs in the lobby.

Summer Backpack Ministry

Food packing and distribution days are:  June 10^th, June 24^th, July 8^th, July 22^nd, and August 5^th.  We will meet in the Fellowship Hall from 1:00 to 4:30 except for August 5^th, the time will be 1:00 to 6:30.  Food donations can be placed in a bin near the lower entrance door.  May:  Fruit Cups, Peanut Butter, Jelly. You may also donate through your offering, just mark it for the summer backpack program. Thanks for your help with this ministry to students and families in our community.

Youth Yard Sale

There are A LOT of “closet clean out” posts and now is a good time to let you know the youth is planning another YARD SALE this summer (June 5, 6, & 7).  If you can hang on to your donation items until then, that will be great but if you have to get them out ASAP, contact Beth Klahre at 814.617.0406 and we can store them.

Women’s Summer Events

All ladies are invited to attend our Women’s Summer Events.  A flier, with the events listed, is located at the Welcome Desk.  Bring a friend and join the fun with fellowship, meeting new friends, and there is usually food involved 😊.  All events begin at 6:30pm except where noted.  May 28^th, a get together at Karen Ritchey’s home at 1838 Raystown Road, Everett – a few miles past the church on the right.  June 11^th, Altoona Curve Game starts at 6pm.  Cost is $15 per person.  Sign up at “Sign-Up Central” by May 25^th so tickets can be ordered.  June 25^th, Succulent workshop at Brush Creek Evergreens in Breezewood.  Space is limited to 15 people depending on the weather.  Cost depends on how many succulents and other items you purchase.  You can bring your own containers and decorations.  Sign up at “Sign-Up Central.”

Church Picnic

Join us for our annual Church Picnic on Sunday, June 1^st at Snake Spring Township Park, with lunch beginning at 1:00 PM! It will be a fun-filled afternoon featuring bingo, a cake and watermelon walk, children’s games, a photo booth, corn hole, ultimate frisbee, and plenty of great conversations. The Fellowship Team will provide chicken, drinks, and paper products—just bring a covered dish to share and lawn chairs. Donations for the Cake Walk and Watermelon Walk are needed as well as Corn Hole Boards.  Please sign up to attend by May 25th at Sign-Up Central.  Don't miss this joyful day with your church family!

Father’s Day Refreshments

Join us in the lobby on Sunday, June 15^th at 10:00 AM as we celebrate Father’s Day with special refreshments before the service.  This is a time to honor and appreciate all the men in our church family—dads, sons, uncles, grandfathers, and friends. Come early, enjoy some good food, and help us celebrate the incredible men who bless our lives.

Vacation Bible School

Children’s registration for VBS can be done on the church’s website or by filling out a yellow registration form at the VBS table in the lobby.  There is no cut-off date to register.  VBS is from June 16^th thru the 20^th from 6 to 8pm.  Ages 3 to 5^th grade are welcome.

Hospitality Team Volunteer

The Hospitality Team is looking for a volunteer to make coffee 1 Sunday per month.  You will need to be at the church by 9:15am to begin brewing.  Anyone willing to help, please see Terri Klahre for further info.

Precious Life Baby Bottle Campaign

Pickup your baby bottle in the lobby, fill it with your loose change, and bring it back on Father’s Day June 15^th.  This is Precious Life’s biggest fundraiser.

Trustee Members Needed

Trustees function as Christian stewards of property God has entrusted to the congregation.  The trustees work together to care for the church building and facilities, keeping them in safe and proper working order so that ministries can be effective.  If you would like to be part of the team, please sign-up at “Sign-Up Central” or contact Dan Bennet.  New members will be contacted upon Dan’s return.

Men of Community Bible Study

Men, join us for our Men of Community Bible Study.  The study groups meet bi-weekly on Tuesdays (in-person and via zoom) at 7 pm and on Wednesdays (in-person) at 6:30 pm.  Please see Shawn Ritchey for additional info and the “Upcoming Events” calendar for meeting dates.

Ladies’ Book Club

Ladies’ Book Club will generally be meeting the 4^th Thursday of every month.   The next meeting will be held June 26^th at 6:30pm and we will be discussing “The Shell Seekers” by Rosamunde Pilcher.  If you have any questions, contact Alice Wallace at 574.265.5149. Ladies’ Breakfast

The Ladies’ Breakfast meets every 2^nd Thursday of each month at Kelly’s Restaurant at 9 am.  Ladies of all ages are invited to share in a time of fellowship while enjoying a delicious breakfast.  If you have any questions, contact Nellie Howsare at 652.6220.
